Serena Williams of the United States argues with umpire Carlos Ramos during her Women's Singles finals match against Naomi Osaka of Japan on Day Thirteen of the 2018 US Open at the USTA Billie. US Open 2018 tips (All odds courtesy of Betfair) Rory McIlroy (12/1) Some interesting information emerged from the course on Sunday night as Bubba Watson's caddie Ted Scott revealed on Twitter.
The U.S. Open is a 'Grand Slam' event and is the last of the four 'major' tennis tournaments held during the year where matches are played on an acrylic hard court surface.
This year the tournament begins on Monday 27th of August and ends with the Women's final played on Saturday 8th of September and the Men's final played on Sunday 9th of September.
The U.S. Open has 8 rounds. Each round is a 'best of 5 sets' or 'first to win 3 set' (men) and a 'best of 3 sets' or 'first to win 2 sets' (women). At the U.S. Open, the final set of a match where the sets are 2-2 is decided by a tie-break (the other three Grand Slams do not have a tie breaker in the final set).
What betting markets are available?
Outright betting and individual match betting is generally available at most quality on-line bookmakers for the Men's and Women's single events. There is also betting available on the men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles events but these do not become available until the quarter final stages.
There are many betting markets offered for betting on tennis at the U.S. Open including outright winner, round betting, match bets, set betting and specials.
Outright Betting
There are two main outright betting markets available, these are the Men's Singles and the Women's Singles. Both markets offer ½ the odds 'to place 1,2' or 'reach the final'.
The men's markets are less value but more predictable – this year's outright favorite is Novac Djokovic @ 3.25.
There are less markets in the Women's event but they offer better value but are less predictable, this year Serena Williams and Simona Halep are joint favorites @ 7.00.
The doubles (men's, women's and mixed) outright odds generally become available in the second week this year from Sunday, 2nd September.

Statistic Betting
Under / Over 7.5, 8.5. 9.5 games in Set 1, Set 2 etc.
Also found in the 'in game' betting markets. Here you choose if the set will have over or under the number of games listed.
For example:
Under 7.5 @ 8.00 @ Over 7.5 @ 1.06
Under 8.5 @ 4.00 Over 8.5 @ 1.22

If the set goes to a tie break then you can bet on Player A or B to win the tie-break.
Number of Sets (Best of 3)

For example:
Men's match: Over 4.5 @ 3.50 Under 4.5 @ 1.28

Total Games in a set / match
Here you can bet if the total number of games played in each set or the match will be odd or even.
Number of Duece games – None, One, Two
In this bet you choose how many games in the set will go to 40-40 (Deuce). (This bet is available on limited matches only.)
Final Word
For outright betting we also recommend 'Double' bets as this can help dramatically increase your returns and you can also place 'insurance' bets. For example a Simona Halep @ 9.00 and a Nadal @ 4.50 to win double returns 101.25 points for a 2.5 point bet, you could then do the Double Chance Bet – Djokovic or Federer to win @ 2.25 at 5 points and/or Serena Williams to win @ 6.00 at 5 points or whatever you like to 'cover' as the double bet gets closer to a win at the semi-final and final stage.
The Australian Open is also played on a hard acrylic surface so when looking for value in the match betting as well as head to head statistics it is a good idea to research how different players performed in the Australian Open and at other hard court tournaments when making selections.

US Open 2018 Preview | Course Info, Betting Tips and More
Loading …
This week marks a busy time on the sporting calendar as football fans gear up for the World Cup and golf fans prepare for the US Open. The second major of the golf season is upon us and it feels good to have championship golf right around the corner once again. With a fascinating course, star-studded field and the opportunity to make a big statement for golf's elite heading into a busy summer of golf, it's sure to be a memorable US Open.
Stick around for our preview as we run through the venue and its history, Tiger's chances as well as the other big guns and a gaze into the future for next year's tournament.
Where is the US Open?
The 2018 US Open is being held at Shinnecock Hills, New York.
About Shinnecock Hills
The 7,445 yard course will be hosting the major for the fifth time this weekend and is the only golf course in the world to have hosted a major tournament in three centuries, the first time back in 1886 for the second ever US Open.
The classic course is in keeping with the traditionally tough courses which host the major. A touch of links golf is apparent throughout the 18 with some severe elevation changes made especially testing with heavy crosswinds.
The firm, fast surface will make for some exciting action on the greens while golfers are to expect a harder time from the rough; a chip back onto the fairway will be the more popular shot rather than an extra club to the green, through gritted teeth I'm sure.
However, for those who were at Erin Hills last year, the rough will not be as punishing; who can forget Lee Westwood's hilarious Instagram post with his caddy before the tournament started.
The rough really is thick at Erin Hills 😂

The 2004 US Open
A major which isn't shy from controversy, the US Open certainly ruffled some feathers in 2004, when it was at Shinnecock Hills. As Ernie Els walked off after his third round, he deemed some of the greens 'unplayable'.
However it wasn't until the final round when the greens were so dry and weren't even rewarding well-executed shots. The seventh hole was a particular issue; the pin was moved to the front right of the green and it saw several players putting past the hole and into the bunker. That day no one broke 70, 28 golfers failed to break 80 and only two players finished the tournament under par.
Will Tiger complete his comeback?
Since returning to the PGA Tour earlier this year it's fair to say that Tiger Woods has proved a lot of people wrong; many were doubting how his back would hold up with a busy schedule, especially having had such a long layoff, but he has been surprisingly consistent and looks on the cusp of getting a win.
It's been 10 years since Tiger last won a major, the famous US Open playoff victory at Torrey Pines, so he will be hoping for a return to major contention this week at Shinnecock, but it won't be easy. Tiger tees it up with current World Number One, Dustin Johnson and the man DJ snatched it from, Justin Thomas when he did this at the St Jude Classic last weekend…

US Open Betting Tips
The field this week at Shinnecock Hills is packed with golf's biggest names. While the US Open isn't seen as the most important major of the year, you can bet your house that all of these guys will want to win bad. Here are a few of the favourites.
Tiger Woods (22/1)
History speaks for itself. Tiger is 4 time winner at Augusta and has returned to the PGA Tour in style. T5th at Arnold Palmer, 2nd at Valspar and 12th at The Honda Classic, he will be a popular bet amongst golf fans around the world.
Rory McIlroy (12/1)
Rory has been inconsistent this season, he started so brightly at The Masters but had a shocker on the final day and has continued in the same vein. After some magical golf at the BMW PGA, perhaps Rory is ready for his 5th major.
Justin Rose (14/1)
His only major win came at the US Open in 2013 and following a dominant victory at the Fort Worth Invitational, I can definitely see Rose in one of the final groups come Sunday evening.
Dustin Johnson (8/1)
After losing the World Number One spot just a few weeks ago, DJ returns as the highest ranked player after his incredible finish last weekend. His win in 2016 will spur him on and on his day there are few who can match him.
Jordan Spieth (18/1)
Us Open Tips 2018 Youtube
Spieth was on fire on Masters Sunday earlier in the year but has since struggled to find his form. That said, overlooking the 2015 champion could be foolish as we all know he loves the big stage. Go slots capital lv online casino.
Pebble Beach 2019
Now you might say that this is a little premature but….Pebble Beach will be hosting a major again in 2019! The 2019 US Open will take place at the world's most famous golf course for the first time since 2010 and it's going to be incredible.
With Your Golf Travel, you can not only secure your place at next year's US Open, but also secure yourself a once in a lifetime golf holiday to California's golfing hotspot. Whether you book to play in the year leading up to the tournament or stick around after the US Open to play the championship track fresh off a major, it's an opportunity not to be missed.
Need some more convincing? Take a look at these…
